astora allocates capacities at the Jemgum storage facility
Bundles with a total volume of 2.8 terawatt hours to be offered
Kassel, 11 February 2016. Natural gas storage operator astora will be offering capacities via the exchange platform store-x for the storage year 2016/2017. The capacities will be allocated in two separate keyed procedures on Tuesday, 1 March 2016, and on Wednesday, 2 March 2016.
Keyed procedure on 1 March 2016
The keyed procedure comprises one bundle with a working gas volume of approximately 0.7 TWh. The complete working gas volume for injection is supposed to be handed over to astora as a fixed-quantity (flat) delivery at the Virtual Trading Point GASPOOL from 1 April 2016 to 1 October 2016. In accordance with the regulation of “BEATE”, the working gas volume will be available in the discounted storage account of GASCADE as of 1 November 2016.
For utilising the working gas volume, a firm withdrawal rate of 1,100 MWh/h and a firm injection rate of 700 MWh/h are available to the storage customer at the grid connection points to GTS and GASCADE from 1 November 2016 to 1 April 2017.
Volumes injected after 1 November 2016 are charged with a variable storage fee of 50 ct/MWh. In addition, astora allocates interruptible entry capacities free of charge to the storage customer into the GASCADE transmission network from 1 December 2016 to 1 April 2017.
Bids can be submitted on 1 March 2016 from 9 a.m. until 12.00 noon (CET).
Keyed procedure on 2 March 2016
The keyed procedure comprises three bundles with a working gas volume of approximately 0.7 TWh each. From 1 April 2016 until 1 April 2017, the firm withdrawal rate of 1,000 MWh/h and the firm injection rate of 650 MWh/h are available at the grid connection points to GTS and GASCADE.
All injected volumes are charged with a variable storage fee of 50 ct/MWh. In addition, astora allocates firm transmission capacities free of charge for entry into and exit from the GTS transmission network.
Bids can be submitted on 2 March 2016 from 9 a.m. until 12.00 noon (CET).

Irrespectively of the aforementioned storage products, as of 7 April 2016, astora offers storage costumers an optional service for transferring customer-specific REMIT-data.
