astora successfully commercialises capacities at the Jemgum storage facility
Kassel, 19 June 2015. astora has allocated capacities at the Jemgum cavern gas storage facility on the German-Dutch border successfully via the exchange platform store-x. The entire capacities for the contract period from 1 July 2015 to 1 April 2016 were sold in a non-discriminatory keyed procedure and comprise a total working gas volume of about 1.4 TWh. Demand exceeded capacity on offer fivefold.
The planned working gas volume of the Jemgum gas storage facility amounts up to one billion cubic metres. The ten storage caverns are targeted to be completed by 2018.
