astora markets capacities of Haidach and Jemgum storages via PRISMA
Bundles with a total volume of approx. 5.8 terawatt hours to be offered
Kassel, 3 February 2017. Natural gas storage operator astora will be offering capacities for the storage year 2017/2018 via the PRISMA Capacity Platform.
The capacities available at the Haidach storage facility with a working gas volume of approximately three terawatt hours will be offered on Friday, 17 February. The working gas volume of approximately 2.8 terawatt hours available at the Jemgum storage facility is split into three products, which will be offered on 20 February, 21 February and 22 February respectively.
The capacities will be auctioned in keyed procedures. Bids can be submitted from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon (CET) on each bidding day. Detailed documents for each auction are now available for download at https://platform.prismacapacity.eu/#/storage/offers or www.astora.de.
The registration on PRISMA is a requirement for the participation in the keyed procedures. The documents needed for approval must be provided to astora not later than 15 February. Irrespectively of the aforementioned storage products, astora offers all storage customers an optional service for transferring customer-specific REMIT-data as well as for reporting storage inventories at the facility in Haidach according to the Energy Emergency Data Order (G-EnIDVO 2014) issued in Austria.

The company maintains one of the largest natural gas storage facilities in Western Europe at Rehden in Northern Germany, which has a working gas volume of more than four billion cubic metres. In addition, the storage company also holds capacities in the second largest storage facility in Central Europe, located in Haidach, Austria. In order to secure natural gas supplies to Europe, the company is currently developing the Jemgum natural gas storage facility on the German-Dutch border.
