astora allocates capacities at the Jemgum storage facility on store-x

Bundles with a total volume of 1.457 terawatt hours to be auctioned

Kassel, 10 June 2015. Natural gas storage operator astora will be offering capacities at the Jemgum cavern gas storage facility on the German-Dutch border via the exchange platform store-x. The capacities will be allocated in a non-discriminatory keyed procedure on Friday, 19 June 2015 and comprise a total of 2 bundles, with a working gas volume of 728,640 MWh each.

The firm withdrawal rate for each bundle is 1,326 MW in the period from 1 December 2015 to 1 April 2016. Storage volumes are supposed to be handed over to astora as fixed-quantity (flat) delivery from 1 July 2015 to 1 October 2015 at the Virtual Trading Point GASPOOL. Bids can be submitted on Friday, 19 June 2015, from 9 a.m. until 12.00 noon (CET).

Starting from Friday, 12 June 2015, detailed documents will be available for downloading from in the user section or at The terms and conditions of the keyed procedure and the storage specifications apply for the keyed procedure in question. The storage access terms and conditions of astora GmbH & Co. KG apply in addition to these terms and conditions.

The planned working gas volume of the Jemgum gas storage facility amounts up to one billion cubic metres. The ten storage caverns are targeted to be completed by 2018.
