„As a local company we believe supporting children to be a charity close to our hearts. Therefore, we are proud to dedicate this year´s Christmas donation to the emergency ambulance for newborn babies“, Andreas Renner, managing director of astora, confirms. „We are convinced of this unique project because the emergency ambulance is specifically fitted for the needs of newborns and funded by donations only“.

The first emergency ambulance for babies in the northern region of Hesse was launched in the seventies. Equipped with pneumatic shock absorbers at both rear wheels and an anti-vibration transport incubator, the current vehicle fits the needs for the medical care of premature and newborn infants. The emergency ambulance for babies is predominantly used for emergency transfers from hospitals in the north of Hesse, the southern part of Lower Saxony and in the east of North Rhine-Westphalia to the Department of Paediatrics of the Kassel Clinical Center and the University Paediatric Clinics of Göttingen and Gießen-Marburg.
