Kassel, 26 October 2020. astora GmbH is conducting a tender for the supply of electricity for the natural gas storage facilities in Jemgum and Rehden.
The delivery period covers the calendar years 2021 and 2022.
The total tender is divided into 3 lots.
- Lot 1: Electricity supply in the calendar years 2021 and 2022 as a market access model
- Lot 2: Electricity supply in the calendar year 2021 as a market access model and in 2022 as a horizontal tranche model
- Lot 3: Electricity supply in the calendar year 2021 as a fixed price
Tenders can be submitted for all 3 lots or for a selection of single / several lots. Suppliers who wish to participate in the call for tenders are invited to submit their offers until 16 November 2020.

astora GmbH, based in Kassel, is part of the GAZPROM Germania Group and one of the largest natural gas storage operators in Europe. The company maintains one of the largest natural gas storage facilities in Western Europe at Rehden in Northern Germany, which has a working gas volume of about four billion cubic metres. In addition, the storage company also markets around one third of the capacity in the second largest storage facility in Central Europe, located in Haidach, Austria. In order to secure natural gas supplies to Europe, astora also operates and markets 5/6 of the capacity in the Jemgum cavern storage facility on the German-Dutch border.
